Who We Are

SK Leonard is a recruitment consultancy working within the public and private sectors. Our role is to source, assess and submit suitably qualified candidates to our client companies. Our services include, but are not limited to, the interviewing and submission of candidates, updating existing users of our services, carrying out background checks and providing a back-office payroll solution. All services are governed by human intervention and are not reliant on any totally automated assessment.

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data of our website users, candidates, clients, suppliers, and other people whom we may contact to find out more about our candidates. What Personal Data Do We Collect?

Any details that you submit will be stored by us and will be accessible by employees of the company.

Candidates: We collect and use only the information necessary to find the best available opportunities and to assess your eligibility through the different stages of recruitment. This includes CVs, identification documents, educational records, work history, employment references and financial information. We may also collect sensitive personal data related to health, diversity information or details of criminal convictions where you have given explicit consent.

Clients: We collect and use only the information necessary to provide you or people in your organisation with services such as finding the best available candidates for your opportunities.

Other data subjects: We collect and use only the information necessary to contact you and pay you for the services you provide.

The personal data we collect will be used for the following purposes:

  • Assessing suitability against a job role using past experience, education and relevant skills
  • Reviewing against all vacancies that may be of interest
  • Interviewing candidates
  • Submitting candidates to clients with prior consent
  • Submitting candidates who have been vetted (background checks, right to work)
  • Encrypted storage of relevant and up-to-date information
  • Providing candidates with a third-party payroll solution

Disclosure of Information

Will SK Leonard Share My Data?

As a recruitment consultancy, we may pass your personal data to a client company working with SK Leonard. Any third parties we share data with are obliged to keep your details securely and to use them only to fulfil the service we have outlined. When they no longer need your data, they will dispose of it in line with SK Leonard's procedures. If we wish to pass sensitive personal data to a third party, we will only do so once we have obtained your consent, unless legally required to do otherwise.

How Long Do We Keep Your Data?

SK Leonard will process the information you provide in a manner compatible with GDPR. We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it for longer than is necessary. SK Leonard is required to retain information in accordance with the law, such as information needed for income tax and audit purposes.

CV Submission

Your CV will only be accessible by SK Leonard employees and will only be sent to prospective employers with your prior consent. You should ensure that your CV and any other details held by us remain up to date. We recommend that you update your CV every six months.

Your Rights

At your request, SK Leonard can confirm what information we hold about you and how it is processed. You may request information about the purpose and legal basis of processing, the categories of data collected, recipients of the data, retention periods, and your rights to correct, erase or restrict processing. We accept the following forms of ID: passport, driving licence, birth certificate.

Responsibilities of Staff

All employees must comply with this policy, avoid discrimination, refrain from victimisation, harassment or intimidation, and report any discriminatory practices to management.

Third Parties

SK Leonard will not tolerate harassment of employees by clients or customers based on protected characteristics. Affected employees should report incidents immediately for investigation.

Rights of Disabled People

The company prioritises the needs of disabled employees. Managers must make reasonable adjustments to maintain employment, including training, specialist equipment and flexible hours. Disabled applicants will receive full consideration with appropriate workplace accommodation.

Equality Training

Regular briefing sessions address equality issues. Equality information is included in induction programmes, and managers receive specific training on this policy and on recruitment procedures.

Monitoring

Our Action Plan

  • Reduce office temperature settings and switch off lighting and electrical equipment when not in use
  • Use whiteboards instead of flipcharts; use refillable pens and markers
  • Use recycled paper and prioritise electronic document storage over hard copies
  • Print double-sided and repurpose scrap paper where possible
  • Use refillable ink cartridges and recycle spent cartridges
  • Replace disposable cups with reusable mugs and glasses
  • Embed remote working practices to reduce commuting emissions
